Cooling with Geothermal systems

My trip (or tour) to Arizona during last year's summer was not warm. It was hot! I am saying this because the temperatures are quite extreme in this area. During summer, the temperatures go up to Fahrenheit 110 degrees and that is not warm, that is hot. So, during my stay at a hotel, I was asking the hotel's manager as to how do the people make up in this area. He was willing enough to discuss about this topic because he was quite knowledgeable in this subject. He said most businesses use geothermal cooling in the months of summer and that in turn becomes a geothermal heat pump during the months of winter.

I wanted to know more about this and went on to read about it during my stay at the hotel and Arizona. There is a popular company called GeOasis that supplies geothermal cooling systems in and around Arizona and Phoenix. It is claimed that the geothermal systems have many additional advantages over conventional air to air HVAC systems. First and main difference that I noticed was that these geothermal air conditioning systems are very quiet and flexible for the very reason that they don't move any air to transfer heat or cold air. The biggest advantage that I noticed was that they will drastically bring down one's energy consumption and also that they are 100% environment friendly.
